How Limits Work

Notes

The free version supports up to 5 notes. If you're at the limit and try to create a new one, BetterStickies lets you know. Delete or trash a note to make room.

If you've used Premium and switch back to Free, your extra notes aren't deleted — they become read-only. You can still see them, but you'll need to remove some to get back to editing.

Reminders

You can have 1 active reminder in the free version. To set a new one, remove the existing reminder first. Overdue reminders still count as active until you clear them.

GIF Backgrounds

You can set an animated GIF as a background on 1 note in the free version. Static images (PNG, JPG, SVG, and others) are unlimited in both versions.
